Can earn upto 15 lacs per annum, inspite of being from a non IIT or non NIT college?


Yes, you can.
And it is happening with me. I was getting even lesser than you. I asked for 30% hike but they said they can't give.
After getting frustrated in the office, I started searching outside. I got 5 offer letters  and the maximum hike I got was up to 170 %. Yes it's true.
Everything depends on your knowledge and experience in real projects.
There are few companies that need talent, not the college name.
 
IIT, NIT or any other educational background only helps you enter an organisation at a better level of pay. What makes you keep your initial pay(not get fired) and progress in your career is dependent completely on your performance.
If you work harder than others, keep learning, and have a reasonable level of intellect/talent, you can certainly achieve your goal.
