What are the programming languages that are going to be very popular in the future ?

If on the other hand you are asking this question from the point of view of deciding what to learn, then you should know, that it is a losing battle. In IT, technologies change every 5 years and what is hot today, won't be tomorrow. The only way to be ahead of the curve is to keep on updating yourself, reading articles and the moment a new technology arrives, learning it as fast and as efficiently as possible.

  • Python (for statistical analysis, hardware interaction etc)
  • R programming (data analysis)
  • Java (widely used, for Android apps)
